I am so amused at what I learn DAILY from my children.
Just when you think you know 'em...
Math. I hate it. Granted, once I decided to go to college at age 23, I decided Algebra was NOT my enemy and actually CHOSE to take college level Algebra/Trigonometry after passing my intro class with an "A". BUT, I still hate it.
Simply because Hannah is a girl - like me, right? - I naturally assumed she, too, would hate math. NOT so. In fact, she loves it so much that when I announced that our official school year would start the day after Labor Day (after protest about starting ON Labor Day), Hannah chimed in with, "Well, can I start my math now?"
She sat down and did about 12 pages yesterday. And 2 more so far today. Amazing. Especially to a mother who would not "choose" to do math - ever.
So, that means I can't complain about her spending her last (rainy) days of summer glued to the TV, right? I guess not. :-)
